Job Title: Room Leader – Early Years

Setting Name: Downside Preschool CIO

Location: Dunstable

Salary: Dependant on qualifications and experience 

Hours: 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, some days may require earlier starts from 7:30am to support the operational needs of the preschool

Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Room Leader to join our friendly and busy preschool.

Working as part of our leadership team, you will support the Preschool Manager and Deputy Manager in providing safe, high quality care and education for our children. You will lead and support practitioners within the setting, act as a Key Person and help ensure the smooth day to day running of the preschool.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be confident working alongside the Deputy Manager where appropriate, taking responsibility for the preschool in the Manager’s absence.

We are looking for someone who holds a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and has experience working within an Early Years setting. Experience in SENCO and/or safeguarding is desirable, although training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Permanent position. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
